Our commitment to sustainability

Our Eco Policy

At Golden Grove Retreat, we have made a long-term commitment to sound environmental practice. We are aware of the fragile nature of our beautiful surroundings in Carmarthenshire. We aim to operate in the most environmentally responsible manner possible.

Consciously aware of the long-term sustainability of our local ecosystem, we will aim to work to enhance this as much as possible. We are working towards protecting and preserving the environment and wildlife for future generations.

We recycle organic waste used in the retreat to help fertilise and maintain our gardens and fields.

  • Reduce waste at sources and recycle our paper, cardboard, plastic and glass.
  • Use environmentally friendly cleaning products where possible.
  • Adopt a practice of efficient energy management throughout the complex.
  • The surrounding fields are a natural habitat for local wildlife.
  • Our guests are welcome to experience the vast countryside using local paths.

We ask you to adopt a few small changes that will help to create a significant impact on our environment:

  • Reduce, reuse, recycle: try and cut out products that use unnecessary packaging. Please use our recycling bins provided.
  • Reduce your carbon footprint: Why not explore our local surroundings on foot, take a book, take a picnic and spend the day breathing in the beautiful Carmarthenshire air.
  • Switch off: Turn off taps, switch off lights and equipment.
  • Be respectful to our neighbours and the local environment; please pick up rubbish even if it is not yours and put it in the bins provided.
